The NZTC and the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) have developed a comprehensive roadmap, detailing the emissions measuring and monitoring technologies currently available and on the horizon. Our Combustor software is one of the featured products supporting methane and CO2 emissions monitoring capability without the need for local installations.

On Thursday 21st March, we were delighted to be among 15 developers showcasing our offering at a launch event hosted at the NZTC.

Bob Peebles, Phil Stockton and Allan Wilson represented Accord at the well attended event, and spoke with several Operators and Technology companies with offerings in this area.

Bob Peebles said “We are working with a number of Operators who are implementing Combustor to accurately monitor their flare emissions. In our discussions today, Operators noted the need for clarity from OPRED legislation which describes methane reporting requirements. It was clear from comments from the regulator that black box solutions will not be an acceptable method going forward – transparency and traceability are going to be key requirements”.
