Digging In: A Day at Murtle Estate

A small team from Accord recently spent a day at Murtle Estate supporting Camphill Estates, Aberdeen.

It was fantastic to meet some of the team at Camphill and understand the work they are doing across multiple locations and four different charities, to support children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs.

We got stuck into some practical work in the walled garden, tackling a large section that had become overgrown with weeds. Working together, we cleared and weeded the area, helping to restore the paths surrounding the beds. This will help young people working in the garden to identify where to focus their efforts when planting in the vegetable beds and helps to make this section of garden safer and easier to access.

We'd like to thank Kate and Camphill Estates for welcoming us to Murtle Estate and for giving us the opportunity to contribute to such a worthwhile organisation. We're delighted to play a small part in supporting the ongoing work at Camphill.
