2025 at Accord ESL: Milestones, Community and Momentum

As 2025 draws to a close, it’s been a year filled with celebration, innovation, growth, and meaningful engagement for the Accord team. From marking important milestones to strengthening our connections with clients old and new, here’s a look back at some of the moments that defined the year.

A Milestone Year

This year marked 15 years since Accord’s incorporation, providing an opportunity to look back at the evolution of the business — from its origins in Aberdeen to becoming a globally active, employee-owned consultancy. The milestone highlighted not just growth, but the values and culture that have remained constant throughout the journey.

Employee Ownership in Action

Employee ownership continues to shape how Accord operates day-to-day in 2025. This was reflected in our Employee Ownership Day celebrations, which recognised the shared responsibility and collective mindset that underpin the business.

Our engagement with the wider employee-owned community also continued through participation in the Employee Ownership Association Annual Conference, where discussions focused on multi-generational workforces, succession and leadership planning, and long-term resilience.

Addressing Emissions Challenges

We remained actively involved in addressing emerging challenges across emissions measurement and reporting.  2025 saw Accord contribute to key industry technical initiatives, including participation in the NSTA emissions measurement technology roadmap and the successful completion of a multi-operator flare combustion efficiency project using our Combustor software.

Community & Local Engagement

2025 also brought moments of community engagement. During the summer, our team enjoyed the vibrant Tall Ships Aberdeen 2025 event, appreciating local culture and celebrating Aberdeen's maritime heritage. Tall Ships Aberdeen 2025 - What a Weekend! - Accord ESL 

Supporting local charities and community initiatives remains important to us, with many of the organisations we back nominated directly by our staff.  We welcomed invitations to visit both the Outward Bound Trust's revamped Loch Eil Centre and to Aberdeen Airport, to witness the unveiling of the new Airbus H145 D3 helicopter by the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).

Looking Ahead to 2026

With exciting projects underway, continued investment in people and technology, and a strong employee-owned culture, 2026 promises even greater opportunities ahead.
