Meeting the Challenges of CO2 Measurement with a new Kind of Orifice Meter

Published by
Phil Stockton
In October, 3 Accord staff attended this year’s North Sea Flow Measurement Workshop in Tonsberg - held in person this year, after being entirely online in 2020.
Phil Stockton presented the paper “Meeting the Challenges of CO2 Measurement with a new kind of Orifice Meter” authored by Phil, Allan Wilson and Richard Steven (DP Diagnostics). In it, they present a new equation to calculate flow rate in an orifice meter with wide-ranging applications including measurement of high CO2 concentration natural gas and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). This year’s conference had a focus on energy transition with around a third of papers relating to CCS and Hydrogen.
